A week after surviving a 42–41 high-wire escape at Humble, Klein Cain found its closing gear on Future Hurricane Night. Locked in a physical, back-and-forth battle with Oak Ridge through three frames, the Hurricanes blew the game wide open with an electric 21-point fourth quarter, overpowering the War Eagles 45–20 at Klein Memorial Stadium to improve to 2–0.
The decisive surge was spearheaded by junior quarterback Jace Hanks, whose multi-positional versatility dismantled Oak Ridge's defensive game plan. Hanks generated 175 total yards of offense and accounted for two touchdowns—rushing for a game-high 104 yards on 12 carries, tossing for 71 yards and a touchdown, and even hauling in a 41-yard scoring strike. Operating in tandem behind an offensive line anchored by Ryan Worrell and Clayton Rightmer, senior quarterback Trey Reyes turned in an immaculate passing line, completing all five of his throws for 80 yards and a score, while senior running back Eyan Johnson and junior Earl Oguinn Jr. softened the Oak Ridge front with relentless downhill running.
Defensively, the Hurricanes delivered the stinginess they had sought all week.
